INCOMING CHANGES!

Greetings everyone!

So, it has been almost two months since we launched KALOTEMPS.COM, and we are very happy to report that the site is doing great! We get new registered users everyday and we have had many compliments. The KALOTEMPS.COM team has been hard at work trying to improve the site and adding more content as fast as we can, we hope you have enjoyed growing with us! Over the last few weeks we have learned a great deal and this experience has helped us to change and improve the site! We’ve added things like: new templates, a five-start rating system for our templates, a shout box, forums, a FAQ page, a TOP TEMPLATES page, private messaging for users, the CRAFT-4-ME service and the REQUEST-A-TEMP service.

Some of the things we learned over the last few weeks were fun and exciting; while other things were not so fun. For example, we found out that our REQUEST-A-TEMP service was far more popular than we ever could have anticipated. Unfortunately, we also found out that people are generally far more unresponsive and un-generous than we thought. Sadly, we were so hammered with request, eventually we ended up having to flat out decline the vast majority of them. Plus keeping up with the administrative work involved with processing each request was crazy, not to mention the amount of wasted time/effort we spent spinning our wheels with users who requested templates and then vanished into thin air. Yes, we actually had users that would request templates, but then they would not respond to any of our attempts to contact them with the first drafts we worked so hard on.

So, while we are very happy people liked the REQUEST-A-TEMP feature, we were not so happy to be working around the clock for very little in the way of donations. Our frustration levels were mounting, and so too were the frustrations of our many new users who where getting flat out declined.

Happily, we have devised a new system to help us prioritize our custom template requests as well as help us weed out the ‘less-than-serious’ individuals who may just end up wasting everyone’s time. In addition to this, we have stream-lined the request processing and the way we manage those request. Some of you may have already noticed that we have updated our REQUEST-A-TEMP submission form and FAQ page (and therefore you already have a clue as to what is coming next). For those of you that haven’t noticed read on…

KALOTEMPS.COM is excited to announce our new donor priority system. This new system will be applied to all new incoming custom template requests received from the REQUEST-A-TEMP service. Depending on the amount/value of the donation being offered with each request, the donor will be assigned one of five donor classifications, represented by the precious gemstones: Diamond, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, and Topaz. Donations for custom template requests are still not required though, so we also have a FREEBIE classification. However, moving forward we will only accept a maximum of five (5) FREEBIE requests at a time. Each donor classification (or level) will grant the user certain perks. Below is a detailed list outlining our new system and the perks associated with each classification.

DIAMOND DONOR (100p donation)

• DIAMOND donors can be fairly certain that their request will be accepted (no guaranteed though).
• Accepted DIAMOND donor requests will be placed FIRST in the queue! If there is more than one DIAMOND donor request in the queue, they will be completed in the order in which they were received.
• Your template will be named after you when posted to KALOTEMPS.COM website (this applies only if you did not select the private template option).
• DIAMOND donors may request up to three (3) template revisions.
• DIAMOND donors receive a template build report as well as a crafting report once the template is complete and the donation is received.
• DIAMOND donors have the option to make your template private.

RUBY DONOR (50p donation)

• RUBY donors can be fairly certain that their request will be accepted (no guaranteed though).
• Accepted RUBY donor requests will be placed ahead of any SAPHIRE, EMERALD and TOPAZ donor requests, as well as any FREEBIE requests. If there is more than one RUBY donor request in the queue, they will be completed in the order in which they were received.
• RUBY donors may request up to two (2) template revisions.
• RUBY donors receive a template build report as well as a crafting report once the template is complete and the donation is received.
• RUBY donors have the option to make their template private.

SAPPHIRE DONOR (25p donation)

• SAPPHIRE donor requests will probably to be accepted.
• Accepted SAPPHIRE donor requests will be placed ahead of any EMERALD and TOPAZ donor requests, as well as any FREEBIE requests. If there is more than one SAPPHIRE donor request in the queue, they will be completed in the order in which they were received.
• SAPPHIRE donors may request one (1) template revision.
• SAPPHIRE donors receive a template build report as well as a crafting report once the template is complete and the donation is received.
• SAPPHIRE donors have the option to make their template private.

EMERALD DONOR (10p donation)

• EMERALD donor requests are likely to be accepted.
• Accepted EMERALD donor requests will be placed ahead of TOPAZ donor requests, as well as any FREEBIE requests. If there is more than one EMERALD donor request in the queue, they will be completed in the order in which they were received.
• EMERALD donors may request one (1) template revision.
• EMERALD donors receive a template build report as well as a crafting report once the template is complete and the donation is received.
• EMERALD donor templates can NOT be private.

TOPAZ DONOR (5p donation)

• TOPAZ donor request may or may not be accepted.
• Accepted TOPAZ request will be placed ahead of any FREEBIE requests. If there is more than one TOPAZ donor request in the queue, they will be completed in the order in which they were received.
• TOPAZ donors can not request revisions.
• TOPAZ donor templates will be posted directly to our website once completed and donation is received.
• TOPAZ donor templates can NOT be private.

FREEBIE TEMP (no donation)

• Request may or may not be accepted. Only five (5) FREEBIE requests will be accepted and in the queue at a time. Please check our template request queue.
• FREEBIE requests will be placed last in the queue.
• You can not request revisions.
• Once complete, FREEBIE templates are posted directly to our website.
• FREEBIE templates can NOT be private.

NOTE: If you offer anything other than platinum and your request is accepted, the approximate value of the offer (according to Kalorian) will be assessed and your request will be prioritized accordingly.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR USERS WITH PRE-EXISTING REQUESTS:
In the next couple of days, we will be sending out emails to everyone that was already in our queue prior to the new DONOR system going live. In these emails we’ll be asking these users to contact us to let us know if they are still interested in getting a custom template made by Kalorian and to please update their request. Specific instructions will be given on how to update or cancel their request. The request of users who respond promptly will be kept in the queue. The requests of any users in the queue who do not respond within one week will be canceled and removed from the queue.

We feel fairly sure that our new system will help to alleviate a lot of confusion and frustration on the part of our users, as well as ourselves… by helping our users to understand exactly what to expect from us and when. And it will help us stay more focused and organized!
